Who can apply
The Alberta Made Production Grant (AMPG) is a competitive grant program designed to provide funding to Alberta producers for projects with a minimum eligible Alberta spend of $50,000 and total production budgets less than $499,999 CDN.
About the funding
Recognizing that small-budget productions have different funding needs than large-budget productions, the grant provides funding to help productions manage their immediate cash flow needs via an interim payment.
The grant covers 25% of eligible Alberta production costs to a maximum of $125,000. The program is competitive with a limited budget. Applications that most align with the intent of the program and ministry objectives will be awarded funding.
The Training and Mentorship Incentive, a top-up of up to $35,000 to the base AMPG, is available to support activities related to on-set training, job shadowing and mentorship.
It offers a 25 per cent grant on all eligible Alberta labour and non-labour expenses to a maximum of $125,000.
