How Quarterly Grant Payments are Calculated Agricorp will determine an eligible Applicant's Quarterly Grant Payment by calculating the sum of:
- The value of up to 50% of the Supplier Quote of the Applicant's Eligible VQA Wines
Sales not from an Onsite Winery Retail Store for that Quarter.
- The value of up to 25% of the revenue retained by the winery from Eligible VQA
Wine Sales from On-Site Winery Retail Store sales for that Quarter.
Each Quarterly Grant Payment will align with LCBO Wholesale sales data reported in the LCBO’s Financial Reporting Period Calendar.
If a winery has ineligible fortified VQA sales, wineries will be required to report the value and volume of these sales to Agricorp so that they can be removed from the payment calculation.
On-Site Winery Retail Store sales may include in-person, phone-in, online, farmer’s market, tasting room and Special Occasion Permit sales from the on-site stores If a winery or part thereof has been sold, OMAFA may, at its sole discretion, direct Agricorp to assign all or a portion of the VQA Wines Sales Data from the former business to the new business owner for use in calculating a Quarterly Grant Payment.
In case of errors in the quarterly grant payment, adjustments may be made to subsequent payments to correct the total grant amount for the Program Year.
NOTE: In order to be included in the eligible VQA sales volume, any outstanding sales volumes from April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 reported through the Winery Reporting Template (“J-10”) must have been submitted to the LCBO no later than April 20, 2027.Sales volume data submitted after April 20, 2027 will not be used for payment calculations and will not be considered for future program years.
