Financial assistance to develop the production, processing and marketing of Nordic biofood products

Description:

The financial aid measure is a framework allowing the financing of various biofood projects in the Nordic territory. To stimulate the development of the production, processing and marketing of Nordic biofood products in a sustainable manner.

Comments on Funding:

The financial assistance offered is adapted to the project and the financial capacity of the applicant, and must be at least $ 10,000 .

Additional justifications will need to be provided by applicants for projects for which assistance is requested:

Is greater than $ 300,000 ;
Equivalent to more than 50 % of eligible expenses, without exceeding 80% for individual projects, or 80 % or more for collective projects;
Includes an advance payment greater than 50 % of the value of the requested assistance.
For selected projects, the sums are paid through an ad hoc financial aid agreement :

If the assistance offered is $50,000 or more, it must be approved by the Treasury Board Secretariat;
If the assistance offered is $1 million or more or is granted to organizations representing First Nations or Inuit, it must be the subject of a government decree.

Deadline:

Project submissions are ongoing until October 31, 2027. Projects must be completed no later than March 1, 2028

Eligibility:

Eligible projects and clients
To be eligible, projects must target at least one of the objectives described above and be carried out north of the 49th degree north latitude and north of the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Applicants must reside in Quebec or carry out their activities in Quebec.
