Description:

This industry-driven fund supports a portion of the travel costs for independent Manitoba writers, directors, producers and distributors with at least two years of professional production experience and whose feature length productions (short films may be considered on a case by case basis) have been selected to screen at national and international festivals that have significant industry recognition.

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of contributions and covers 100% of the maximum total of the actual eligible costs up to the amount approved by the jury.
The OSM payment covers the eligible expenses to a maximum of $1,250 for North American travel and $1,500 for international travel.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be eligible OSM members (with Professional+ or Production Company memberships) in good standing for a minimum of three months prior to applying for funds (with a current membership and not in default). Membership must remain in good standing for one (1) year following Access Funds award. Exceptions may be made for applications received in the first application window.
2. have two or more years of professional production experience directing, writing, producing and/or distributing film and/or television and/or digital media.
3. have official invitation for your film to screen at a film festival including the number of screenings and number of seats in the venue(s).

– For activities between April 1 and June 30: noon on April 21.
– For activities between July 1 and September 30: noon on June 15.
– For activities between August 1 and September 30: noon on August 1.
– For activities between October 1 and December 31: noon on September 15.

– For activities between January 1 and March 31: noon on December 15.
