Clean Technology: Bioenergy and Circular Economy

This program invests in projects that adapt, develop and deploy innovative bioenergy technologies that contribute to the growth of Alberta's low-carbon economy.
Bioenergy contributes to the development of low carbon fuels, the reduction of consumer and industrial solid waste, and waste reduction from agricultural development through a focus on waste conversion, renewable fuels, and circular economy.

Comments on Funding:

Project funding can be up to and typically does not exceed $2 million per project from the Process. The continuous intake programs normally support 25 – 50% of total project costs, with remaining funding from other project partners and other funding agencies (including cash and in-kind support).

Deadline: Continuous Intake

Support is open to researchers, innovators, small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies and others who are seeking funding, expertise and/or sector leadership to advance technology development from TRL 3-7.
