Youth Summer Employment

The Youth Summer Employment programs provides employers who offer a summer job opportunity to Métis youth (ages 15-30) a wage subsidy of up to 50%.

Comments on Funding:

Employers can receive a subsidy of up to 50% of the wages for a total contribution not to exceed the provincial minimum wage.
Not-for-profit organizations may be reimbursed up to 100% of the wages and up to the provincial minimum wage.

Deadline: Rolling deadline
  • Applicants must be Métis youth (ages 15-30);
  • Participating employers must help Métis students through a summer job opportunity, and gain valuable career-related experience that supports a return to school in the fall.
