Description:
Events & Festivals Fund support events that drive overnight visitation and boost tourism revenue across the province.
Comments on Funding:
Organizations can receive between $25,000 and $150,000 from Travel Alberta. Minimum 25% fund matching required (example: a project budgeted at $100,000 could receive up to $75,000 from Travel Alberta, if the operator provides $25,000 in funding)

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. Be an Alberta-based tourism businesses
2. Be an Indigenous tourism organizations
3. Be a Not-for-profit organizations and/or municipalities with a focus on tourism.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. Create an account or log in to the Grant Management Tool (GMT). This is where you’ll find the Events and Festivals application form;
2. Complete the application. Only one application per organization per funding year.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must:
1. Submit a business plan for your company.
2. Have expenses incurred between the dates agreed upon by Travel Alberta
3. Have invoiced expenses by a qualified third party and documented in the financial reconciliation.
