Description:
This program provides funding to increase production, profitability, and biosecurity of commercial fisheries and aquaculture enterprises through the development of new products or the implementation of new proprietary processes within the company.

Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be businesses that have an establishment located in the maritime regions of Quebec;
2. possess the required authorizations or permits for carrying out activities that lead to the implementation of an eligible project:
a) Fishing companies; b) Seafood processing companies located in maritime regions whose primary activity is the preparation and canning of aquatic products;
c) Aquaculture companies from all regions;
d) Aquaculture companies located in maritime regions when the project involves processing activities;
e) Companies engaged in the valorization of co-products and marine biotechnologies for commercial purposes with operations situated in maritime regions;
f) Band councils;
g) Associations of the aforementioned enterprises.
3. Aquaculture companies that are not located within the state’s water domain and are in the process of obtaining their permits for a hydrogeological study project are also eligible. They must demonstrate to the Ministry the receipt of a preliminary notice from a hydrogeologist regarding the water potential of the chosen site.
