Entrepreneurship Coop (eCoop)

The Entrepreneurship Coop (eCoop) allows you to receive a paid salary while working full-time on your very own start-up—complete with dedicated mentorship and space from Coast Capital Venture Connection.

Deadline: March 1, 2024

Applicants must:

  • be students’ entrepreneurs in Simon Fraser University (SFU);
  • be need to be accepted into both the Venture Connection Incubator program and their faculty’s co-op program:
    a) Considerations for selection of Venture Connections Incubator program include:
    i. Quality of expression of interest;
    ii. Quality of idea (a real market and need must be identified and backed up);
    iii. Quality of application;
    iv. Feedback from Mentor Meet mentor.
    b) Considerations for admission to the co-op program may include the following, but applicants must check in with the co-op program for their academic discipline before applying and alert them of their interest in eCoop:
    i. Minimum CGPA of
  • 2;
    ii. Between 40 – 110 credits;
    iii. Good financial standing with SFU (no financial holds);
    iv. International students only: valid co-op work permit acquired before eCoop term starts.
