The Open Innovation Program offers a non-dilutive funding for the development, commercialization and scaling of made-in-B.C. clean energy technologies and solutions – from Canada to the world. CICE’s open innovation calls welcome game-changing ideas and project proposals from B.C.-based companies across all focus areas. non-repayable grant up to $2 million for an innovative project, new technology or business process that helps reduce GHG emissions and is ready to scale.

Deadline: JAN 24 - FEB 29, 2024
Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be B.C. clean energy innovators that have the potential to accelerate the world towards a net-negative carbon future;
  • have technologies and solutions at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) between 4-9, including development, demonstration and commercial implementation.
  • scale world-class clean energy solutions that address ‘hard to decarbonize’ challenges in high-emitting industries such as:
    a) Mining;
    b) Forestry;
    c) Marine;
    d) Oil and Gas;
    e) Aviation;
    f) Agriculture;
    g) Transportation;
    h) Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Specific eligibility requirements will be posted base on the open innovation calls.
