Professional Development and Networking

By mmuise
Description:

ABPBC regularly organizes workshops and seminars to ensure publishers stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies, and to build peer resource networks. Previous topics have included culturally sensitive publishing practices, effective publishing workflows, strategies for educational marketing, and the potential uses of blockchain technology in attributing and compensating creators. By connecting publishers with subject experts and mentors, ABPBC assists publishers in expanding their markets, including subsidiary rights sales, and in exploring new formats, such as audiobooks. They also facilitate focused networking opportunities with potential partners, such as film producers, literary festival directors, media representatives, and librarians.
