Business Development Loans

Community Futures Boundary (CFB) provides new and existing businesses in their area loans of up to $150,000 by the normal loan process, up to $500,000 through partnerships with other Community Futures offices, and up to $1,000,000 with the Rural Partnership Agreement with Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). Funding is available for start-up, expansion, additional working capital, equipment purchases, real estate purchases, and maintenance.


Comments on Funding:

Loans are available to a maximum of:
- $150,000 through our regular loan process;
- $500,000 through our partnerships with other Community Futures offices throughout the province;
- $10,000,000.00 with our Rural Partnership Agreement with Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

Deadline: Continuous Intake
Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be new or existing businesses looking for funds to:
    a) start-ups;
    b) expansion;
    c) additional working capital;
    d) equipment purchases;
    e) real estate purchases and maintenance.
  • be based in Regional District of Kootenay Boundary.
