Description:
CBDC Humber administers the Grow Your Business Online grant, which helps small businesses cover expenses related to the adoption of digital technologies.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is a grant of up to $2,400:
– to buy new e-commerce tools ;
– provides access to a network of e-commerce advisors for advice and support.
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
The applicant must be a small business that meets all of the following criteria:
1. be a for-profit business (including for-profit social enterprises and co-operatives);
2. be a registered or incorporated business;
3. be a consumer-facing business;
4. be accessed by consumers or provides in-person services to consumers;
5. has at least one employee (other than the owner) OR has had at least $30,000 in annual revenue in the most recent tax year;
6. must commit to maintaining digital adoption strategy for six months after participation in the program;
7. must consent to participating in follow-up surveys, sharing information with the Government of Canada (ISED and Statistics Canada), and having the name of the business published as a recipient of funding.
Ineligible small businesses:
1. Corporate chains, franchises or registered charities;
2. Representatives of multi-level marketing companies;
3. Real estate brokerages;
4. Businesses that engage in online reselling or drop-shipping businesses reliant on third-party suppliers;
4. Wholesale or distribution businesses and manufacturers (unless their business model includes direct sales to the end consumer).
