Who can apply

Your business may qualify if:

  1. You’re a Canadian exporter with at least $10 million in annual revenue
  2. You’re selling Canadian goods or services valued at $1 million or more
  3. You need support to increase your export capacity

Your buyer may qualify if:

  1. They have a good credit rating
  2. The transaction is commercially viable
  3. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, and other non-credit risks, are within acceptable levels

Can I offer buyer financing to any customer?

No. The buyer must meet EDC’s creditworthiness and ESG criteria. We assess every deal individually.

Is buyer financing available in all countries?

Not all. EDC evaluates country risk on every deal and may not offer support in certain markets.
