Commemorative Partnership Program: Community Engagement

VAC’s Commemorative Partnership Program (CPP): Community Engagement program provides funding to support organizations undertaking remembrance initiatives including commemorative activities or the development of commemorative materials

Comments on Funding:

Funding is a grant of up to $25,000.
Applications continue to be accepted on an on-going basis for requests of $5,000 or less and should be submitted at least three months before the project start date:
- Up to a maximum of $2,500 for local projects; - Up to a maximum of $5,000 for regional projects.
For requests over $5,000, the next application deadline will be communicated shortly.

Deadline: Continuous Intake

Applicants must be:

  • non-profit organizations;
  • for-profit organizations;
  • organizations undertaking a commemorate initiative that recognizes and commemorates at least one of the following groups:
    a) Modern Veterans;
    b) Women Veterans;
    c) Indigenous Veterans;
    d) Racialized Veterans;
    d) LGBT2Q+ Veterans;
    e) Canadian Armed Forces Veterans who have served our country in domestic operations such as wildfires, ice storms and floods.
  • in Canada or abroad;
  • in Canadian provinces, territories and municipalities.
    Individuals and federal organizations are not eligible for funding.

2. complete the application to be considered. VAC will acknowledge receipt of applications and may solicit additional information. Only applications deemed complete will be assessed.

Veterans Affairs Canada aims to notify applicants in writing of its funding decision within 12 weeks of the application deadline, provided that an application is deemed complete.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit the completed application with the required supporting information and a final report at the conclusion of the project
