Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program: Industrial Facility

The Green Industrial Facilities Manufacturing Program (GIFMP) provides financial assistance to support the implementation of energy efficiency and energy management solutions designed to maximize energy performance, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and increase competitiveness for industry in Canada.

The Industrial Facility track provides direct-to-industry support to help implement energy efficiency and energy management solutions within their respective facilities. Proposals can involve a single facility or multiple facilities.

Comments on Funding:

Industrial Facility track offers cost-shared financial assistance of up to 50% of eligible implementation costs to a maximum of $10 million per proposal; the minimum contribution is $40,000 per proposal.

This track is for industrial sectors and facility sizes, with a focus on filling gaps in reach and coverage across regions, sectors and activities.

1. The 2023 call for proposals for Track 2 ended on by July 31, 2023. The next call for proposals for Track 2 is anticipated to be launched in 2024.
2. GIFMP offers cost-shared financial support for a holistic and comprehensive suite of energy efficiency measures to be completed by March 2027.
