Talent + Capacity Building Program

The Talent + Capacity Building Program aims to partner with employers, educators, learning and development technology companies and community organizations to build job ready, world-class talent and teams. Digital Technology Supercluster co-invests in projects that help Canadians develop the skills, leadership and opportunities needed to grow innovative digital enterprises.
Under the Capacity Building program, Digital Technology Supercluster co-invests in two types of projects:
1. Exploratory projects;
2. Strategic initiatives.


Comments on Funding:

Funding will take the form of co-investments between:
1. $50K - $500K per project for Exploratory Projects (up to one (1) year duration);
2. $2 - $4M per project for Strategic Initiatives (Up to three (3) year duration).

Eligibility:

The application must be submitted by a project team that meets the following eligibility criteria:

  • the Lead Organization is a Supercluster Member or Associate;
  • at least one partner is from industry;
  • at least one partner is a non-profit organization;
  • the proposal will include at least one Full Member of the Supercluster (Founding, Gold or Regular) by the contracting phase;
  • the project team has a minimum of three project partners.
Application Steps:

Applicants must:

1. submit a project idea at https://ca.surveygizmo.com/s3/50079859/EOI-Submission-Form-Capacity-Building;

2. submit a proposal and budget in the format established by the Supercluster for the Program, if invited.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:
1. the completed proposal template;
2. the completed budget template;

Other Things to Note:

There will be a continuous intake of project ideas. There is no specific due date for submissions. Funds are limited and so the best proposals that arrive earliest will be reviewed first.
