Description:
The Long-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting more than 1 year, up to 3 years.
First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to speak to a Program Officer to determine project eligibility before applying.
Comments on Funding:
You may be eligible for Application Assistance to pay someone to help you with the application process if you are experiencing difficulty and self-identify as:
an artist who is Deaf, hard of hearing, has a disability or is living with a mental illness
a First Nations, Inuit or Métis artist facing language, geographic and/or cultural barriers.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional artists
2. First Nations, Inuit and Métis arts/cultural professionals
3. First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultural carriers
4. First Nations, Inuit and Métis groups
5. First Nations, Inuit and Métis for-profit organizations that have been in operation for at least 2 years
6. First Nations, Inuit and Métis not-for-profit organizations not currently receiving core funding
Application Steps:
Applicants must create an account and submit one or more profile(s) for validation at least 30 days before applying
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must provide:
1. information about their project and its potential impact, their timeline and project plan, their budget and their partners or host organizations, if any,
2. biographies of key artistic, cultural and technical participants, if any,
3. a letter of invitation or confirmation from their partner, organization or venue, if applicable,
4. relevant samples of their previous work and the work of each key participant, if any,
5. a letter/email of agreement from their mentor and their mentor’s current biography (for aspiring artists only).
