Description:

The Social Economy Pilot Project by CBDC Chaleur is crafted for non-profit organizations presenting initiatives that showcase their capacity to enhance community well-being by diminishing poverty, fostering social and economic inclusivity, and leveraging the community’s strengths and resources.

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of a grant in two categories:
1. Project Grant of up to $25,000;
2. Study Grant of up to $15,000.

Additional funding for training is available through Social Enterprise New Brunswick (up to $5,000).

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be non-profit organizations;
2. be located within the service area of CBDC Chaleur.

For Project Category, applicants must:
1. be seeking financing for the implementation of a project aligned to one of ESIC’s (Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation) priority actions;
2. provide 25% financial contribution.

For Study Category, applicants must:
1. be seeking financing toward the development and documentation of their social economy project;
2. provide at least 1 proposal from recognized consulting firms. In the event of an inability to provide consultant proposals, they have to demonstrate they have taken these necessary studies/plans:
a) Feasibility studies;
b) Business plan;
c) Communication and social media plan;
d) Marketing plan.
