Description:

The Retrofit Program offers tailored technical and financial support to help businesses reduce their electrical energy consumption and system-peak demand. Retrofit projects can reduce operational costs, increase asset value, and make businesses more competitive

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of:
1. a feasibility study incentive for up to 100% of study cost, up to $15,000 (pre-approval for study is required),
2. implementation incentives of up to $0.10/kWh of first-year energy savings.

Eligibility:

Eligible projects must:
1. save electrical energy, 2. be for facilities that have annual consumption of 350,000 kWh or greater, 3. propose measures that involve the installation of new, unused equipment,
4. not propose estimated total savings that exceed the historical consumption of the facility without adequate explanation.

The applicant must contact Efficiency Nova Scotia by calling 1-877-999-6035 to talk to an Energy Solutions Advisor.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit the Retrofit Feasibility Study Incentive Application.
