New Brunswick Music Industry Development (MID) Program: Marketing (formerly: Marketing & Promotion Component)

Description:

The Marketing Component assists New Brunswick artists, industry professionals and music businesses with the marketing & promotion of music-related content, services and projects.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $4,000 per application.

Deadline:

Applications are closed. Stay tuned for future intake announcements.

Eligibility:

The applicant must:
1. be an individual or a registered business with Service NB (for groups and businesses);
2. be a resident of New Brunswick six (6) consecutive months prior to the application.

Cover bands and tribute bands are not eligible. Exceptions may be made for blues, classical, jazz or traditional standards.

Application Steps:

The applicant:
1.must submit their application and supporting documents before the start of the project,
2. may only receive investment from this component once.

Documentation Needed:

The applicant must submit:
1. the completed application form,
2. the applicant profile info (biography, photo, weblinks, etc.),
3. a detailed marketing proposal, including key objectives, expected outcomes, timelines and milestones,
4. a video synopsis, MP3 or link of track (when applying for Video Production),
5. quotes from all service providers,
6. CVs or biographies of all relevant team members,
7. a project budget with specific expenses and revenues,
8. any other information relevant to his project.

Other Things to Note:

Please note that the Artist Development, Marketing and Sound Recording components are closed for the fiscal year (ending March 31, 2024). Updated guidelines and application forms for projects taking place between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025 will be available in March.
