Description:
The Ontario Automotive Modernization Program (O-AMP) provides funding to small- and medium-sized automotive parts suppliers in Ontario to help modernize Ontario’s automotive supply chain to make it more competitive and responsive to the changing needs of its customers.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is up to 50% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $150,000.
Applicants must cover at least 50% of remaining project costs through: their business resources or private or bank financing.
Stacking with other provincial program is not permitted.

Eligibility:
The apllicant must:
1. be a small- or medium-sized Ontario-based business in the automotive supply chain,
2. be a for-profit business (with a business number),
3. have less than 500 employees in Ontario,
4. have less than $1 billion in global revenues,
5. have at least two years of financial statements,
6. have at least 50% of the company’s total sales revenue comming from the auto supply sector,
7. have a manufacturing location in Ontario by the time your project starts.
Application Steps:
Applicants:
1. may wish to contact the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association at o-amp@apma.ca for help to develop and strengthen their application.
2. may also seek assistance from the Ministry’s Senior Business Advisors to develop and strengthen their application.
3. must read the O-AMP Applicant Guide.
4. must first register with Transfer Payment Ontario (TPON) to create their ONe-key account and ID.
5. must submit their application with the required documents on the through Transfer Payment Ontario.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. a copy of your Articles of Incorporation;
2. financial statements for the last two fiscal years (auditor or accountant reviewed);
3. quotes from contractors/vendors for budget items;
4. letter of attestation from the CEO or CFO indicating that the company has the financial resources in place to complete the project;
5. project team member resumes.
