Description:
The Touring Projects program supports Ontario-based professional artists/curators, ad hoc groups/collectives and arts organizations to tour performances, exhibitions, screenings and readings for public audiences within Ontario, nationally and internationally. The work(s) being toured must be created and performed by professional artists.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is a grant of:
– up to a maximum of $30,000 for Category 1 – Tour (minimum 3 stops);
– a minimum $30,001 up to a maximum of $60,000 for Category 2 – Large-Scale Tour.

Eligibility:
Category 1 – Tour – Applicants must be:
1. professional artists, including curators, who reside in Ontario and work in an artistic practice supported at OAC;
2. ad hoc groups and collectives working in an artistic practice supported at OAC, the majority of whose members reside in Ontario;
3. Ontario-based not-for-profit arts organizations working in an artistic practice supported by OAC (including nationally designated youth orchestras – see definition);
4. Ontario-based for-profit book and magazine publishers eligible for funding in one of OAC’s publishing programs.
Category 2 – Large-Scale Tour – Applicants must be:
1. Ontario-based not-for-profit arts organizations working in an artistic practice supported at OAC (including nationally designated youth orchestras – see definition);
2. Ontario-based for-profit book and magazine publishers eligible for funding in one of OAC’s publishing programs.
Application Steps:
Applicants must complete and submit an application in Nova, OAC’s online grant application system. They will be able to do this approximately two months before the deadline.
Before applying, applicants must:
1. read the Guide to OAC Project Programs;
2. read the Guide to OAC Assessment; and
3. create or update your profile in Nova.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit completed application which includes:
1. basic information about the project;
2. their answers to application questions;
3. project budget;
4. artistic examples: It is mandatory to include two artistic examples;
5. supporting documents.
