Description:

Innovinc. RBC is a series of three competitions that guides aspiring entrepreneurs through the three stages of the entrepreneurial journey: exploring the idea (Explore), sketching the business model (Sketch) and making the start-up a reality (Make it happen). Participating in the Innovinc series. RBC means embarking on a structured process and being guided by business start-up professionals in order to create your own business project.

Comments on Funding:

There are several prizes awarded for each competition, as follows:
1. Part 1: Explore: several $100 prizes;
2. Part 2: Sketch: several prizes totaling $5,000;
3. Part 3: Make it happen: several prizes totaling over $30,000.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be aspiring entrepreneurs;
2. be students;
3. be graduates;
4. be researchers;
5. be employees;
6. be interested in entrepreneurship or want to start their business;
7. be from the University of Montreal.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must provide:
1. a Business Idea (Explore Program)
2. a business model (Sketch Program)
3. a business plan (Make it happen Program)

Other Things to Note:

1. It is not necessary to participate in all three competitions to enter the race. In addition, the jury is renewed at each stage to ensure the objectivity of the process.
2. Competition duration:
a) Part 1: Explore – 2 evenings and 1 day (twice a year: in October and February).
b) Part 2: Sketch – 8 weeks (twice a year: from October to December and from March to May).
c) Part 3: Make it happen – 4 months (February to June).
