Beginning in 2023, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) is providing $1.3 million in funding annually for a three-year period to provide focused assistance for projects exploring for critical minerals. Eligible critical minerals are based on Canada’s critical minerals list and are identified in the JEA 2023 Guidelines. This Critical Mineral Assistance (CMA) will be provided as part of JEA for the years 2023 to 2025. IET will continue to provide $1.3 million funding to JEA. As is the case each year, JEA is pending budget approval.
