Funding to assist in the purchase of pre-approved common equipment used to monitor and control food safety parameters and to improve traceability systems
Comments on Funding:
60:40 cost share, up to $30,000 in funding for food safety equipment and 60:40 cost share up to $30,000 for traceability.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. Agri-food processors
2. Agri-product processors
3. Distributors
4. Wholesalers
5. Indigenous Groups (First Nation, Métis, and Inuit) including governments, individuals, businesses, communities, organizations, and other Indigenous-led groups undertaking agricultural initiatives
with a valid Permit to Operate a Food Handling Establishment from Manitoba Agriculture, a Health Permit from Manitoba Health, and Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence,
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. Submit the Rebate Worksheet to the Program Administrator via email at agriculture@gov.mb.ca.
2. Attach all invoices and proof of payment
Documentation Needed:
Applicant must submit:
1. Rebate Worksheet;
2. Invoices and Proof of payment;
3. Supplementary documents and other documents as requested.
Other Things to Note:
Funding is limited, and we strongly encourage you to submit your
completed Rebate Worksheet as far in advance of the deadline as possible to increase the likelihood that your project can be funded.
