Innovation Fund: Market Capacity Stream

The Innovation Fund supports organizations who are looking to advance new and innovative energy efficiency opportunities in the Manitoba market. Efficiency Manitoba provides funding for pilot projects and partnerships to reduce common adoption barriers to emerging energy-efficient technologies and strategies that can save electricity or natural gas.
The Market Capacity Stream provides funding to product distributors, trade allies, customer groups and market support services providers for their projects intended to reduce market barriers and improve understanding of energy-efficient technologies.

Comments on Funding:

Eligible projects can receive funding of up to 75% of the project cost to a maximum of $250,000.

Eligible projects:
Communities of practice and peer learning networks
• Capacity building
• Training programs

• Local economic development, particularly within
Indigenous communities and organizations.

Deadline: Continuous Intake

Applicants must be:

  • product distributors;

  • groups of customers (especially underserved communities);
  • market support services (consultants, program administrators, implementers, non-profits);
  • corporate, non-profit, or community organizations, including municipalities and Indigenous communities;
  • based in Manitoba.
