Indigenous Music Development Program (IMDP) — Performers Camp
No funding involved
In-Kind Support
Description:
The Indigenous Music Development Program (IMDP) at Manitoba Music was launched in 2004 to support First Nation, Inuit, and Métis artists and music companies as they build sustainable careers in Manitoba’s music industry. The program delivers projects and services that respond to the needs of the industry as identified by a steering committee.
Indigenous Music Performers Camp is a one-week professional and artistic development project that gives emerging and mid-career Indigenous recording artists a chance to develop their understanding of the music industry along with their ability to succeed in it. The project includes 12-hour days of business workshops, vocal coaching, marketing plan consultations, guitar lessons, and performance coaching.
