Description:

The Manitoba Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit (MIDMTC) is a refundable corporate tax credit designed to help stimulate economic growth and job creation in Manitoba’s interactive digital media industry and attract new investment to the sector.

The MIDMTC provides up to a 40% credit to businesses on qualified labour expenditures, and some marketing and distribution expenses, incurred in the development of eligible interactive digital media products for market.

Comments on Funding:

Applicants who pay 25% of its salaries and wages to Manitoba residents are qualified to 40% tax credit, while applicants who incurs at least $1M in Manitoba labour expenses annually but less than 25% of its salaries and wages expenses can qualify for a 35% tax credit.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:
1. a taxable Canadian corporation with a permanent establishment in Manitoba;
2. paying 25% of its company salaries and wages to Manitoba residents or incurs at least $1M in qualifying Manitoba labour expenses annualy.
