Description:
The Manitoba Arts Award of Distinction recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of a Manitoban artist, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, or arts/cultural professional through an annual prize.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. professional Indigenous artists;
2. indigenous arts/cultural professionals;
3. indigenous Knowledge Keepers;
4. have a permanent physical address in Manitoba;
5. have lived in Manitoba for at least one full year before applying for a MAC grant.

Applicant must be nominated by a nominator that has no conflict of interest.

a. descrbing why the candidate deserve the award in maximum of 1,500 words.

Other Things to Note:
Nominators must be individuals, groups, or organizations that have no conflict of interest with the candidate. Nominators do not need to be Manitoba residents.
