Funding to reduce wastage of agri-food and agri-product inputs that occur during storage of ingredients and during processing by supporting the purchase of assets and systems that will mitigate wastage at these points.

Applicants must:
1. agri-food processors
2. agri-product processors
3. licensed commercial kitchens
4. Indigenous Government/Indigenous individuals, businesses, communities, and organizations, other Indigenous groups undertaking agricultural initiatives
5. wholesalers (food, ingredients)
6. abattoirs
Application Steps:
Applicants must:

2. sent the Applicant Information Forms, Application Worksheets and all other required documentation can be to Manitoba Agriculture at agriculture@gov.mb.ca.
3. comply with all provincial and federal government laws and regulations
applicable to their project and to their business or organization’s operations.
4. Applicants must also accept and agree to all of the terms and conditions of the program.

2. Project deliverables and outcomes
3. Capital and financial capacity
4. Management capacity
5. Completion of Environmental Metrics tables
Reduction in the waste of agricultural inputs
6. Reduction of water used and disposed
7. Reduction of waste sent to landfills or disposed on farmland
8. Volume of organic materials used as fuel and corresponding KWh of energy
created
9. Volume of water cleaned
10. Weight of effluent removed from waste water
11. Greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction
