Description:
The Media Production Fund provides funding for the production of a professional film, television or digital media project.
Comments on Funding:
Funding takes the form of rebates of minimum 25% of the applicant’s Yukon spend.
Applications are closed. Applications for the 2024–25 fiscal year will open on March 18, 2024.
Eligibility:
The applicant production company must:
1. be incorporated in the Yukon;
2. be registered to conduct business in the Yukon;
3. be in good standing with Government of Yukon Corporate Affairs;
4. have a Yukon business address;
5. be a production company primarily in the business of developing and producing professional media content;
6. be a for-profit company subject to Canada’s Income Tax Act;
7. have the rights to produce and exploit the project; and
8. maintain a financial stake in the project.
