Description:

With support from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario and in partnership with the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation (SDCPR), the Franco-Ontarian Foundation (Foundation) supports Francophone entrepreneurs girls from Southern Ontario (Windsor to Hawkesbury). The micro-credit program provides borrowers with repayable financial assistance, offered in the form of loans.

Comments on Funding:

The funding will take the form of a repayable loan of up to $30,000 ($15,000 from the Foundation and $15,000 from the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation (SDCPR)).

Deadline:

Eligibility:

The applicant must be a french-speaking business that:
1. will help improve business performance and productivity;
2. will mainly employ Francophones to fill the jobs created and/or maintained;
3. presents a reasonable possibility of achieving economic validity;
4. has an active French-speaking offer (marketing, promotion, website, etc.);
5. does not infringe good morals;
6. demonstrates that they are commercially viable;
7. demonstrates the ability to repay all the funds advanced to it by the IDESO Investment Fund, in the form of a loan or participation in its share capital;
8. is able to demonstrate that it has the potential to create or maintain new jobs in the territory designated in the mandate;
9. has its head office in Ontario;
10. is located or plans to be relocated in one of the following regions: Brant, Lennox and Addington, Bruce, Middlesex, Chatam-Kent, Niagara, Dufferin, Northumberland, Durham, Ottawa, Elgin, Oxford, Essex, Peel, Frontenac, Perth, Gray, Peterborough, Haldimand-Norfolk, Prescott and Russell, Haliburton, Prince Edward, Halton, Renfrew, Hamilton, Simcoe, Hastings, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Huron, Toronto, Kawartha Lakes, Waterloo, Lambton, Wellington, Lanark, York, Leeds and Grenville.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:
1. the disclosure of personal information (i.e., divulgation de renseignements personnels) of each applicant;
2. the disclosure of company information (i.e., divulgation de renseignements sur l’entreprise);
3. the notice of consent to the Prescott-Russell community development corporation (i.e., avis de consentement à la Société de développement communautaire de Prescott-Russell) from each applicant;
4. annex a – forecast of results (i.e., prévisions des résultats);
5. annex c – personal balance sheet (i.e., bilan personnel) for each applicant.
