The Matagami SADC covers part of the territory of the municipality of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, namely the western sector at the limit of the Ontario border, Baie-James up to the 76th meridian towards the east and from 49th parallel in the south to the 55th parallel in the north. The Matagami SADC covers this territory, but does not serve the towns of Villebois, Valcanton and Lebel-sur-Quévillon.
