New Brunswick Music Industry Development (MID) Program -Showcase Component

Description:

The Showcase Component provides investment for New Brunswick artists presented opportunities to perform in front of industry professionals and delegate buyers during domestic or international industry events, or other eligible events.

Comments on Funding:

Funding for domestic showcase is up to $2,000 per application.
Funding for international showcase is up to $3,000 per application.

Eligibility:

The applicant must:
1. be an individual or a registered business with Service NB (for groups and businesses);
2. be a resident of New Brunswick six (6) consecutive months prior to the application.

Cover bands and tribute bands are not eligible. Exceptions may be made for blues, classical, jazz or traditional standards.

Application Steps:

The applicant:
1.must submit their application and supporting documents before the start of the project,
2. may only receive investment from this component once.

Documentation Needed:

The applicant must submit:
1. the completed application form,
2. the artist profile info (biography, photo, weblinks, etc).
3. the proof of showcase invitation and/or agreement,
4. the information proving export readiness for international showcases,
events,
5. a description of the event,
6. a short narrative outlining how the applicant will promote and leverage the opportunity,
7. quotes from all service providers (booking agents, publicists, technical crew, etc.);
8. a project budget with specific expenses and revenues,
9. any other information relevant to his project.

Other Things to Note:

This component has a Rolling deadline Applications are reviewed on the first Tuesday of each month by a jury starting April 4, 2023. No application is accepted after 6 PM AST on February 5, 2024.
