Description:

The Documentation Grant Program is designed to provide assistance to New Brunswick arts professionals and professional artists for the research, development, and execution of original documentation and contextualization (written, film, video, multimedia) of arts activities, arts products or art history. Documentation grants are intended to foster theoretical and critical discourse in the arts. Preference will be given to proposals concerning New Brunswick art or artists.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

1. Be a Canadian citizen, have an affiliation with a First Nation on Turtle Island, be a permanent resident of Canada or have an application for permanent resident in process;
2. Have resided in New Brunswick for at least one year (12 months) prior to the application deadline;
3. Must qualify as a professional artist according to the guidelines in Appendix 1: artsnb Definition of a Professional Artist.

2. submit the application by 11:59pm on the deadline date.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:

1. Project description, max. 500 words
2. Balanced project budget
3. Artist’s CV
4. Samples of work corresponding to the artist(s) who will be the subject of the work
5. (If applicable) Excerpts of texts, articles, or catalogues published by the proposed curator, critic, or editor for the project (also following Appendix 2: Samples of
Work Guidelines)
6. (If applicable) CV and letter of agreement for each artistic collaborator involved in the project
