New Brunswick Music Industry Development (MID) Program -Professional Development & Business Travel Component

The Professional Development & Business Travel Component assists artists and industry professionals with expenses associated in participating in domestic and international music industry conferences, trade fairs, business trips and business development missions.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $2,000 per application.

Deadline: Rolling deadline

The applicant must:

  • be an individual or a registered business with Service NB (for groups and businesses);
  • be a resident of New Brunswick six (6) consecutive months prior to the application.

    Cover bands and tribute bands are not eligible. Exceptions may be made for blues, classical, jazz or traditional standards.

Application Steps:

The applicant:

1.must submit their application and supporting documents before the start of the project,

2. may only receive investment from this component once.

Documentation Needed:

The applicant must submit:
1. the completed application form,
2. the applicant profile info (biography, photo, weblinks, etc),
3. the proof of event(s) registration, training or mentorship,
4. the detailed itinerary and travel plans, including locations and dates,
5. the description of the event(s) to be attended,
6. a list of contacts and meetings planned,
7. the description of training or mentorship and CVs or biographies of facilitators for professional development,
8. quotes from all service providers (publicists, technical crew, etc.);
9. a project budget with specific expenses and revenues,
10. any other information relevant to his project.

Other Things to Note:

This component has a Rolling deadline Applications are reviewed on the first Tuesday of each month by a jury starting April 4, 2023. No application is accepted after 6 PM AST on February 5, 2024.
