Heritage NL Maintenance Grants
All provincially-designated Registered Heritage Structures are eligible to apply for a Maintenance Grant once every three (3) years, dated from the last payment of a grant for that property. Maintenance grants cover 50% of eligible expenses for exterior work using traditional materials, with costs for repair/replacement to historic windows covered to 80%, both to a maximum of $3,000.

About the funding
Maintenance grants cover 50% of eligible expenses for exterior work using traditional materials, with costs for repair/replacement to historic windows covered to 80%, both to a maximum of $3,000.
The number of grants approved in a year will be based upon available funding.
Elements eligible for a Maintenance Grant include painting, minor repairs to clapboard, trim, windows and/or doors and minor work to chimneys and roofs.
Grants cover only those agreed upon costs incurred after the approval of a grant.
The only labour amounts that may be reimbursed to privately owned Registered Heritage Structures are those paid to third party contractors or individuals hired to complete restoration work.
