Description:

In partnership with Dalhousie University, and Landmark Decisions Inc., the Digital Twinning for an Organization (DTO) Adoption Program enables Atlantic Canadian small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) manufacturers to get the consulting, staff, and education required to adopt DTO simulation modeling.

Comments on Funding:

Through generous funding from NGen and ACOA, this program will provide $70,000 of value for consulting services, wage subsidies, software licenses, and training required to adopt and maintain DTO modeling adoption and strategy to five (5) manufacturers in Atlantic Canada.

Eligibility:

Applicants must :
1. Be manufacturing business must be based in Atlantic Canada and have less than 500 employees
2. Commit to hiring a Dalhousie University Engineering co-op student for one work term of 14-16 weeks to support the implementation of DTO (approx. $4,500 commitment – 66% of wages will be covered through Dalhousie’s Emerging Now program)
3. Ability to dedicate a min. of 3 company employees and the co-op student to attend the Implementing a DTO for Manufacturing workshop (4 half-day virtual sessions) (approx. $2,800 commitment)
4. Ability to dedicate a min. of 1 company employee and the co-op student to attend the DTO Modeler workshop (4 half-day virtual sessions) to gain in-depth training on the Canadian DTO software (approx. $1,400 commitment)
5. Assign a min. of 3 company employees to assist the student in the development of the DTO model. The total time commitment for the total of these 3 individuals would be about 20-30 combined days for the 4-month term (approximately ½ day per week per employee). Suggested roles for these employees would be operations lead hand / supervisor / manager, Continuous Improvement (CI) lead, Business / Data Analyst, Production Planner, Financial Analyst, and/or Maintenance Leads.
