The Targeted Labour Market Program provides funding of up to one year in duration to eligible employers, institutions or training providers to enable Nunavut-based education and/or training for occupations or skills that either are or will be in demand in the near future.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria:

  • Training providers, including non-profit organizations and institutions, municipal corporations, Inuit organizations and Nunavut based business, may apply for funding to deliver programs.
  • Priority will be given to the following types of programs:
    a) Training and employment programs for persons living with a disability;
    b) Training and employment programs for out-of-school youth aged 15-30;
    c) Trades and Mining sector training;
    d) Employment readiness;
    e) Programs that propose to deliver training in smaller communities outside of regional hubs; and
    f) Programming proposed to be offered in Inuktut.
