The Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship (IWE) Program provides Indigenous women financial support and access to dedicated Business Support Officers, routine workshops and training to help kick start and grow their businesses.

Comments on Funding:

Indigenous women entrepreneurs who meet the eligibility requirements will be able to apply for loans up to $50,000.

Deadline: Continuous Intake

Applicants must:

  • be Indigenous women entrepreneurs;
  • be based in Kitikmeot Region.

Other Things to Note:

1. KFCI delivers IWE program in partnership with the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA).
2. The five main pillars of the IWE program are:
a) Research on Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship;
b) Role model campaign to spotlight successful and inspirational Indigenous women entrepreneurs;
c) Business tools and resources that are tailored to reflect the culture and circumstances of Indigenous women;
d) Workshops, training and mentorship on business and entrepreneurship;
e) Financial support for Indigenous women who want to start or scale a business.
