Description:
The Arts program provides contributions to individuals, non-profit organizations and municipal corporations to support the development and enhancement of the arts in Nunavut. This program supports a wide variety of art projects in many different mediums. Examples of the types of projects that are supported include, but are not limited to, art and music camps and classes, art shows and festivals, community theatre productions, and art workshops.
Comments on Funding:
The maximum contribution that can be awarded is $50,000, subject to available funding. The government’s liability is limited to the amount of funding authorized. In addition, the government will not be responsible for any budget shortfalls or deficits.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be individuals, non-profit organizations and municipal corporations that are involved in the promotion, creation, presentation, appreciation and/or study of the arts in Nunavut.
Application Steps:
Applicants must contact the Ministry of Culture and Heritage directly.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must:
1. Submit a completed funding proposal to the department, which includes a description of the project, an outline of the project objectives, the proposed budget (including revenues and expenditures) and a timeline for completion of the project.
2. Submit an achievement report outlining the benefits achieved, compared to the expectations indicated in the proposal.
Other Things to Note:
Payments will be issued in two installments, as outlined in the terms of the Conditional Contribution Agreement.
