Description:
The Starter Company Plus Grant supports eligible entrepreneurs looking to build their small businesses. Select entrepreneurs will receive training, mentoring and advice and will be eligible to apply for a micro-grant of $5,000 to assist with growth and expansion of their business.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. Canadian citizen or permanent resident,
2. resident of Canada for fewer than 5 years,
3. 18 years of age or older,
4. Not be attending school or planning to return to school while enrolled in the program,
5. Be devoting a minimum of 35 hours per week to their small business and not employed anywhere else,
6. Not be enrolled in any other government-funded employment program,
7. Be a resident of Toronto with ability to demonstrate proof of physical address.

Applicants must submit:
1. Proof of concept: showing evidence that your business product or service has been tested or demonstrated in a real-world scenario, indicating its feasibility and potential for market success.
2. Customer validation: demonstrating demand for your product or service in the market.
3. Clear revenue model: identifying one or more revenue/sales channels.
