Description:

The Ontario Labour Market Partnerships program provides financial assistance to local communities, sector groups, employee/employer associations, and employers in developing and implementing strategies for addressing and responding to local economic (employment) development, labour force adjustments and human resource planning. The program is intended to help partners to:
1. promote the creation of broad industry/community partnerships necessary to address labor market issues,
2. assist local communities with the development of innovative strategies to prepare for future skills requirements and prevent skills shortages within new and emerging industries and organizations,
3. plan for effective utilization of local human resources,
4. develop and promote labor market intelligence and its use in labor market development.

The amount awarded to each project will vary depending on the project.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:
1. For-profit organizations;
2. Not-for-profit organizations or social agencies;
3. Industry Associations/Employer Organizations;
4. Employee Organizations;
5. Public and private health and education providers;
6. Local planning groups/Community action group;
7. Charitable Foundations;
8. First Nations and Métis organizations;
9. Municipal governments.

1. Create a My Ontario Account:
2. Register for Transfer Payment Ontario
3. Access to Transfer Payment Ontario
4. Submit for funding
5. Log in

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:
1. a concept paper providing details about the partnership.
2. an official application and detailed proposal, if the concept paper is approved.
