Description:

The Skode Program will match 3 Finalists with a mentor and provide a $5,000 non-repayable financial contribution to advance their new Indigenous culinary tourism ideas to the next level.

Comments on Funding:

Winning Pitch Finalists will receive:
$5,000 non-repayable financial contribution to support their Indigenous culinary tourism idea development activities
3 month mentorship with a tourism innovator, experienced operator, industry leader and/or sector expert
Additional support and resources provided by ITO and program partners
Access to a network of tourism innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders​​
Plus a chance to compete for a $20,000 Grand Prize!

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

1. Indigenous culinary tourism entrepreneurs, businesses, community groups and non-profits based in Ontario, including:
a. Established Indigenous culinary tourism businesses
b. Emerging and aspiring Indigenous culinary tourism businesses

2. Eligible businesses and organizations are 51%+ Indigenous-owned, operated and controlled

3. ITO members or enroll before submitting their Skode Program application (ITO membership is complimentary)

4. Enroll in the ITO Feast Accreditation Program before submitting their Skode Program application

1. Complete the online application form
2. Submit a short video (1 minute maximum)
