Description:

PEIBWA Micro Grants are designed to help new, growing, and established women entrepreneurs through a non-repayable grant and business skills support.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $500, with 75% payable on approval and remaining payable on completion of final report. There is a maximum of five (5) grants available during the funding round.

April 2, 2024

Eligibility:

The applicant must be:
1. a new, growing, or established woman entrepreneur,
2. a member of PEIBWA,
3. a resident of PEI.

Non-profits and community organizations are not eligible

Application Steps:

The applicant:
1. must submit a proposal through the online application form. She will receive an email confirmation that her application has been received.
2. will get an email about the result of their application,
3. will be asked to visit the PEIBWA office and sign a ā€œLetter of Acceptance/Funding Agreementā€ within thirty (30) days of receiving the acceptance notification,
4. will receive 75% of funding within 30 days of PEI Business Womenā€™s Association receiving the Letter of Acceptance/Funding Agreement,
5. has 60 days after the project is completed to submit a ā€œCompletion Reportā€ and related financial documentation to the PEI Business Womenā€™s Association office to receive the remaining 25% funding,
6. will be invited to do a short presentation on the project at the PEIBWA AG.

Documentation Needed:

The applicant must submit:
1. a proposal through the online application form, including the following: contact information, stage of business, barriers, challenges, and successes so far, the proposed activities and goals, estimated expenses to achieve those goals,
2. a ā€œCompletion Reportā€ and related financial documentation.
