Description:

The Urban Agriculture Program of Innovation and Economic Development Trois-Rivières (IDE Trois-Rivières) aims to provide financial assistance to eligible businesses, tenants or owners occupying space in commercial buildings or offices. The goal is to help democratize urban agriculture, change the visual, exploit different commercial and social potentials, maintain biodiversity and fight against heat islands.

Comments on Funding:

The maximum amount of financial assistance is set at 40% of the cost of the project or a maximum of $6,000 per project.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be companies that correspond to one of the following legal forms:
a) Joint-stock;
b) General partnership (SENC);
c) Individual business;
d) Cooperative or non-profit organization (NPO).
2. have eligible projects projects in line with the urban agriculture plan of the City of Trois-Rivières on these priority areas:
a) Downtown Trois-Rivières;
b) Boulevard des Forges;
c) Boulevard des Récollets;
d) Thibeau Blvd.;
e) Barkoff Street;
f) Ste-Madeleine Blvd.;
g) Rue Fusey.

Applicants must submit the signed form and the required documents.

Other Things to Note:

1. Applications are received continuously and is limited to one project submission per year and per eligible business or organization, from January 1 to December 31.
2. By urban agriculture we mean: all food production activities most often, but not exclusively, activities carried out on a small scale and located in the city and which call upon resources, products and services that are in this city.
