Description:

The PSO program concerns funding for joint industrial research projects involving enterprises and public research organizations. CRITM’s 4 research vectors are: Transformation process development, Advanced metal product design, Environmental footprint reduction, Digital innovation. Funding amounts vary based on the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of the project.

Maximum assistance of $1,500,000 per project (over 3 years).

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. have industrial research projects carried out jointly with public research establishments;
2. cover the various sectors of metal processing, extraction and concentration, primary production, first, second and third processing, finished products, not forgetting metal recycling.
3. be any of these program categories:
a) PSO SME Program:
i. Minimum 1 company (SME) and 1 research organization;
ii. Minimum industrial contribution of 20% of the project;
iii. Funding rate of 40% of eligible expenses (cash).
b) PSO Large Enterprise Program:
i. Minimum 1 company (GE) and 1 research organization (absence of SMEs);
ii. Minimum industrial contribution of 40% of the project (of which 50% max in kind);
iii. Funding rate of 20% of eligible expenses (cash and kind).
