CED’s assistance under the Hurricane Fiona Recovery Fund (HFRF) aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and communities in eastern Quebec (Gaspésie and Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine) directly affected by the storm. The aim of this fund is to contribute to recovery efforts and restore economic activity.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. have an immediate need, demonstrate quantifiable losses or damage that are a direct result of Hurricane Fiona; and
2. have exhausted all other sources of financial support, such as insurance and provincial relief programs;
3. be small and medium sized enterprises;
4. be Non-Profit Organizations* including:
1. economic development organizations that provide essential services to SMEs;
2. local economic development associations.
3. be municipalities;
4. be Indigenous organizations.
*Public organizations subject to the Loi sur le ministère du Conseil exécutif (M-30) must have authorization from the Government of Quebec.

Other Things to Note:
As all the funds available for the Hurricane Fiona Recovery Fund have been allocated, new funding applications under this Fund are no longer accepted.The HFRF will be in effect until March 31, 2025.
