Bootcamp and Cup Competition

This program, powered by the National Bank, is designed to support early-stage startups that are iterating their MVP/prototype and moving towards launching their venture with early users and/or customers.
Throughout the 10-week program, entrepreneurs will attend weekly workshops and coaching sessions delivered by industry leaders, conduct self-directed work, and learn about:
1. value creation,
2. market penetration,
3. financial models,
4. storytelling,
5. the art of pitching.


Comments on Funding:

1st Place: Four prizes of $20,000; 2nd Place: Four prizes of $12,000; 3rd Place: Four prizes of $8,000.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be early-stage startups that are iterating their MVP/prototype and moving towards launching their venture with early users and/or customers;
  • be participating in any of the four tracks:
    a) Health Sciences Enterprise Track (HSE);
    b) Technology Driven Enterprise Track (TDE);
    c) Social Impact Enterprise Track (SIE);
    d) Environmental Enterprise Track (EE)
  • consist of a team with at least one McGill affiliated co-founder e.g., student, faculty, staff or alumni;
  • be working on a prototype or/and have a functional business, developing a business plan, and preparing to launch your startup;
  • have at least one technical co-founder, and can build their business upon a technology, science, or idea that is significantly or radically disruptive;
  • compose of multi-disciplinary professionals (including learners or graduates);
  • commit to attending all the workshops and executing the project work (required to maintain their participation in the program).
